“Kindergarten is a time for children to expand their love of learning, their general knowledge, their ability to get along with others, and their interest in reaching out to the world.” -As published by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC)
At GSPK we offer an exceptional half-day kindergarten program. We have an excellent student:teacher ratio with experienced teachers who provide individualized instruction to fit the needs of each student. Compassionate, respectful group dynamics are fostered through participation in class projects. Hands-on, developmentally appropriate learning is provided utilizing a diverse selection of enrichment activities and materials. Unique, high interest level units of study (including: whales, rain forest, birds, Van Gogh, weather, Eric Carle, and more) keep students engaged and excited about learning.
Games and collaborative play are a daily part of the fun in Jr. Kindergarten. Tailored to fit the needs of children who just barely miss the Kindergarten cutoff, this class focuses on keeping students challenged academically while building on their already advanced social skills. Junior K takes deep dives into a variety of topics, offering hands-on explorations in science, math, reading, social studies and the arts to build well rounded learners who are excited to be in school and confident in their Kindergarten skills.
We're getting ready for Kindergarten! Our Pre-K class is the perfect learning environment for young to mid four year olds getting ready to take the big leap to Kindergarten in the following year. With a curriculum and topics centered on hands-on learning through play we focus on the whole child, building strength in social skills, academics, fine and gross motor skills and self confidence. Our goal is to send our students into the world excited about learning and prepared for the challenges ahead.
Exploration and hands-on learning makes the Three-Year-Old Class the perfect place to bring out the natural curiosity of young children. We learn about the world around us, ask lots of questions and share our wonder with our friends and teachers as our bodies and minds grow.
Making new friends, getting our hands dirty, listening to stories; this is how we learn and grow in the Two-Year-Old Class. With loving guidance we are learning that the school routine is safe, soothing and fun.
Will you play with me? I know Mommy isn't far away, and there are so many toys and friends for play. The Toddler Class is the perfect first step in the school experience. We overcome our fears in a classroom filled with loving structure and so many new friends!
